Palliative Care Coordinator - Wimmera Hospice
Registered Nurse Grade 4B
We are seeking a palliative care experienced registered nurse to join our professional team to lead the Wimmera Hospice team. This permanent full time position is available now and includes working Monday to Friday.
The purpose of this position is to coordinate and manage the activities of Wimmera Hospice Care. This role includes overseeing and providing palliative care nursing clinical support and acting as an expert resource to clients and their carers and primary care providers across the Wimmera region. This role also includes coordinating bereavement support to carers and contributing to raising the profile of palliative care in the Wimmera.

Selection Criteria

Key Selection Criteria include:
Essential:
• Registered Nurse with Australian Health Professionals Registration Authority (AHPRA).
• Post graduate qualifications in palliative care
• Significant clinical experience in palliative care nursing
• Demonstrated capacity to manage staff and provide leadership within a small team.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with multi-disciplinary health care teams, local community services and volunteers.
• Evidence of commitment to continuous improvement and the delivery of a high standard of customer service.
• Current Victorian Drivers Licence.
Desirable:
• Previous experience at a senior nurse level in Palliative Care and management.
• Previous experience in a rural community setting
• Previous experience with Microsoft office/UNITI data collection system
• Previous experience in delivering Palliative Care education
