Life, death and dreams
What do people with a life-limiting illness think of life? Of death? How do they want to die? What gives them joy? Have they had dreams or visions about death, or the hereafter?
Pippa Wischer, a visual artist specialising in documentary portraiture, asked forty people receiving palliative care questions about life, dreams and dying. The Dreamers reveals their views on these deeper questions of life.
A book and an exhibition
The Dreamers is a beautiful book and also an exhibition.
Exhibitions have been held at the La Trobe Regional Gallery, Morwell, the Metro City Library, Melbourne, and at the Ballarat Foto Biennale.
We welcome inquiries to show this exhibition in community, corporate and public spaces. It helps us all to think about our mortality and to learn from their insights about what matters most in life.
