Summary

Palliative Care South East are looking for a Part-time Counsellor to join our interdisciplinary team to fill a 12-month vacancy (3 days per week) to the 1st July 2020.
The Community Palliative Care Counsellor is involved in the provision of specialist grief, loss and bereavement support for clients, carers and family members pre and post death. Liaising and referring to the interdisciplinary team as well as engaging with other external providers the Counsellor will ensure holistic palliative care and support is provided

Selection Criteria

• Tertiary qualification in Counselling or related field
• Experience working with people living with a life-limiting condition
• Extensive clinical experience in palliative care, community health or related field
• Postgraduate qualification in Grief/Loss and Bereavement (Desirable)

Other requirements
• Current membership with the Australian Counsellors Association or equivalent peak body
• Satisfactory National Criminal History (Police) check
• Working with Children Check (WWCC)
• Current valid Victorian drivers’ licence
