Summary

Palliative Care South East are seeking a Part-time Art Therapist to join our interdisciplinary team to fill a 12-month vacancy (2 days per week) to the 1st July 2020.
The Community Palliative Care Art Therapist will support and enhance the wellbeing of clients diagnosed with a life limiting illness, their carers and family members through the provision of art therapy. Working with the interdisciplinary team the Art Therapist is also involved in grief and bereavement support and liaising with external services to ensure holistic palliative care and support is provided.

Selection Criteria

• Masters Degree in Art Therapy
• Experience working with people living with a life-limiting condition
• Extensive experience in palliative care, community health or related field
• Post Graduate qualification in Counselling or Grief/Loss and Bereavement (Desirable)
Other requirements
• Current membership with the Australian, New Zealand and Asian Creative Arts Therapies Association (ANZCATA)
or equivalent peak body
• Satisfactory National Criminal History (Police) check
• Working with Children Check (WWCC)
• Current valid Australian drivers licence
