The aim of the Loddon Mallee Regional Specialist Palliative Care Consultancy Service (LMRSPCCS) is to provide a specialist palliative care service for complex patients to enhance their care in the region by supporting current providers of palliative care services. The service facilitates an integrated approach to palliative care for patients and their families throughout the Loddon Mallee region.
The CNC will provide a specialist palliative care service including advice and support, for complex clients to enhance their care in the region, support current providers of palliative care services and participate in and promote the development and ongoing co-ordination of a multidisciplinary palliative service aimed at meeting the physical, psychological and spiritual needs of terminally ill clients and their families.

Selection Criteria

To be successful, you will have:
• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA, with at least 3 years full time equivalent experience in Palliative Care, Post Graduate qualification in Palliative Care Nursing or working towards the same.
• Demonstrated experience in clinical consultation, assessment and management of clients relevant to the palliative care specialty.
• Proven clinical leadership skills and an ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary framework
•Excellent communication skills and ability to share knowledge across multiple disciplines/settings including clients, carers and families.
•Demonstrated, effective written and verbal communication skills, and interpersonal skills across a variety of mediums and knowledge of the practice development framework to clinical practice
•Proven skills in clinical teaching and demonstrated ability to contribute to strategic and clinical service planning
