Palliative Care Victoria invites you to join us for the 2024 Palliative Care Victoria Summit at the Carson Conference Centre on 23 February 2024.
The program will focus on the future of Victoria’s palliative care workforce with the theme of Inspiration, Innovation, Integration.
The demand for palliative care in Australia is projected to rise 50% by 2035, and double by 2050. As a palliative care sector, it is crucial for us to collectively assess the current service delivery model and workforce. Further, we must strategically plan and develop our palliative care services to ensure capability meets future demand.
The event will feature a presentation from Victorian Department of Health Manager, Theresa Williamson, on the findings of the specialist palliative care workforce survey, while PCV Volunteer & Capacity Building Manager, Heike Fleischmann, will report on the volunteer workforce survey. Our MC for the day will be Simon Waring.
