Summary
The Supportive and Palliative Care Service provides a bi-disciplinary Palliative Care Consultancy Service and works in close partnership with McCulloch House, a Level 3, 16 bed Inpatient Palliative Care Unit and the 5 inpatient beds within a general medicine ward at Casey Hospital.
We are a supportive and well established team within a large tertiary metropolitan health service seeing approximately 3000 patients per year. In addition, this service contributes to teaching, education and research efforts within Monash Health, and in collaboration with Monash University.
About the role
We are seeking an accomplished and motivated nurse to join the Palliative Care Consultancy Service at Monash Health. This position offers the opportunity to extend your Palliative Care and leadership skills to provide an outstanding patient experience whilst in the dynamic environment of an acute care setting.
We currently have 2 opportunities available, Monday to Friday 8am - 4:30pm (days negotiable):
- Fixed term 5 months, part time (0.8 EFT)
- Permanent, part time (0.4 EFT)

Selection Criteria
- Current AHPRA registration
- Post graduate qualifications in Palliative Care speciality
- A proven commitment to the principles of palliative care and evidence based practice
- High level of computer literacy
- Current driver’s licence and own vehicle with ability to work across multiple Monash Health sites as required
