Summary
Compassionate Hearts on the Bellarine (CHoB) is a not-for -profit incorporated association consisting of a Management Committee and trained volunteers.
CHoB is recruiting a voluntary coordinator to work with our clients/carers and provide support to our volunteers.
Across the Bellarine Peninsula our volunteers support people living with a life-limiting illness and their carers. Support is through social, practical and emotional connection.
The role will require approximately 4-12 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
What is Offered
This is a volunteer position with any expenses fully remunerated. A mobile phone and laptop is provided.
Selection Criteria
We are looking for someone who has:
- Demonstrable commitment to servicing the needs of palliative care clients.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexible, reliable, and responsible with an understanding of privacy and confidentiality.
- Strong organisational, time management skills and computer literacy.
- Ability to work under limited supervision.
- Experience in palliative care, case management and/or undertaking triage, intake and assessment of clients.
- Relevant qualifications are highly desirable including nursing, social work, education or a related discipline.
- A current Victorian driver’s licence and motor vehicle covered by comprehensive insurance
