On Monday 16 March 2026, we proudly launched the fourth edition of the Palliative Care Volunteer Training Kit. This milestone marks the culmination of two years of thoughtful consultation, collaboration, and dedication across our network.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the many experts from our member organisations who generously contributed their time and insights, providing valuable feedback across the modules. We are also deeply appreciative of the two working groups who undertook detailed reviews of the Spirituality and Diversity & Inclusion modules, ensuring the content is both contemporary and meaningful.
The updated edition has been fully refreshed, featuring a new design that reflects Palliative Care Victoria's branding. The official launch of the new kit was held at the PCV office, offering a moment to acknowledge and thank those involved in bringing this important resource to life.
This achievement is a testament to the strength of our collaborative partnerships. Without the commitment and expertise of leaders of volunteers from our member organisations, this work would not have been possible. Together, we have created a high-quality training resource that will further strengthen volunteer involvement in palliative care and enhance the support provided to people with life-limiting illness and their families.
The 2026 Palliative Care Volunteer Training Kit is now available for purchase via our website.
