PEPA IPEPA Victoria Wins St Vincent’s People Award for Community Impact

We are delighted to celebrate the PEPA | IPEPA Victoria team (funded by the Commonwealth Department of Health and Ageing), who have been recognised with the St Vincent’s People Award – Transform the System: Community Impact category.

PEPA/IPEPA (Vic) Team Members

This award celebrates teams who work with partners to shape a better and fairer health and aged care system. It recognises initiatives that:

  • Embed First Nations voices and the principles of reconciliation
  • Engage communities on the future of health and aged care
  • Explore new solutions to improve equity, access, and outcomes for priority populations
  • Build long-term partnerships that strengthen systems of care
  • Drive diversity and inclusion across all levels of practice

The PEPA | IPEPA Victoria team exemplifies these principles through their ongoing commitment to improving palliative care education and support across Victoria. By partnering with health professionals, community organisations, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, the team empowers others to deliver compassionate, person-centred palliative care that reflects the diverse needs and values of the people they serve.

Their collaborative and inclusive approach continues to transform systems of care, helping to ensure that all Victorians — regardless of background or location — have access to high-quality palliative care when and where they need it most.

“This recognition is a testament to the passion and commitment of our team and our partners.
We’re proud to work together to build a more equitable, inclusive, and compassionate health system for all.”
Molly Carlile, PEPA|IPEPA Victoria Manager

The team wished to express their appreciation to PEPA|IPEPA National and QUT teams for their ongoing support, encouragement and leadership.

Congratulations to everyone involved in this achievement. Your dedication, innovation, and partnership create a lasting impact for the communities you serve.
