Blue Cornflower Day, held Saturday 20 June 2026, is an opportunity to raise vital awareness and funds for the hundreds of families impacted by motor neurone disease (MND) in Victoria.
The blue cornflower (Centaurea cyanus) is the symbol of hope for MND around the world because of its fragile appearance but hardy nature. Like the cornflower, people living with MND show remarkable strength in coping with this devastating disease.

MND Victoria is committed to providing the best possible care, support and equipment to people living with MND and their families in Victoria.
On average, every day 2 Australians are diagnosed with MND, and every day 2 Australians lose their lives to MND.
We are the only not-for-profit organisation providing direct care to the 556 Victorians currently living with the devastating disease, and those who will be diagnosed in the future.
MND Victoria’s services include MND Advisor and Support Coordinators, Education and Information, Counselling, Equipment Loan Library, Volunteer Service, and Carer Support programs.
MND Victoria's vision is 'The best care until the world is free of MND.’ We cannot wait until the day we are no longer required because an effective treatment or cure has been found. But until that day is realised, we will continue providing the best possible care and support to those living with MND, now and in the future.
Because until there's a cure, there's care.
