Banksia Palliative Care Service (Banksia) is searching for the ‘right people’ to join our fabulous clinical team. We are searching for Enrolled Nurses who are passionate, caring and spirited to be part of a professional team who together, make a difference every day to clients, their families and the Aged Care services in the community.

We are looking for exceptional Enrolled Nurses to: Provide expert surveillance and assessment of our clients and their family, whether at home or in residential care, to determine their palliative care needs and support their ‘Goals of Care’.

Be involved in Banksia's Client Carer Support Program which delivers education and training to carers about ‘hands on care’ for their loved one at home. Support the delivery of terminal care in the home, including the provision of general physical care. Provide generalist care, such as basic wound care and management. Support the provision of respite in the home, and Work very closely with our Aged Care partners, to provide support, and advice for palliative residents.

About you

You will:

  • Be a passionate, experienced Enrolled Nurse with a strong team mentality and a passion for providing the best care to palliative patients and their families.
  • Be highly motivated to be part of a cohesive, respectful and dynamic multidisciplinary team.
  • Possess the ability to work autonomously (unsupervised) while maintaining accountability.
  • Preferably but not essentially, have nursing experience in palliative care (inpatient or community).
  • Have AHPRA registration with no restrictions and a Working-with-Children Certificate – mandatory.
  • Agree to have a national Police Check completed - mandatory.
  • A full current unrestricted driver’s licence – mandatory.
  • Be a permanent Australian resident - (essential).
  • Have flexibility in availability (some weekend work when trained)
