Summary

La Trobe University’s Public Health Palliative Care (PHPC) Program is based in the Department of Public Health and founded public health approaches to end-of-life care that have now achieved international recognition.

About the role

This position will be responsible across both funding streams, as well as deliverables associated with other externally funded projects. The primary focus of the role is managing the research arm of the HELP Digital program (HELP App and web portal data). The position will lead the analysis and reporting of data and the development of a set of best-practice indicators to measure the impact of PHPC interventions across Australia.

This position is 12 month fixed term, part time (4 days per week or 0.8 FTE)

Selection Criteria

To be considered for this position, you will have:

  • A record of publications, conference papers and/or reports, or professional or technical contributions which provide evidence of strong research potential.
  • Sound analytical skills with an ability to communicate complex information clearly both orally and in writing.
  • Knowledge of and/or interest in contemporary research and practice in public health palliative care approaches or palliative and end-of-life care.
  • Confident in using digital systems for research including management of backend of websites and/or Apps.
  • High level organisational skills: the ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, initiate and follow-up actions, all with minimal or no supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and productively with staff and students from a diverse range of backgrounds.
  • Ability to liaise effectively with a range of collaborators nationally and/or internationally and with industry partners.
