Summary

Peninsula Home Hospice is a not for profit community palliative care service providing support to clients in their homes. Our catchment area is the Mornington Peninsula, Frankston and part of the City of Kingston. 

We are seeking a compassionate Specialist Palliative Care Nurse with a dedication to making a difference for clients and families quality of life. Working within a multidisciplinary team the role provides direct care to clients and their caregivers along the palliative care trajectory. This includes assessment, ongoing care planning and nursing care.

The role requires established work practices, a commitment to palliative care and the ability to work independently with guidance and support from a dependable nursing team. This part time role will be a 3 to 4 day a week position across a 7 day roster.

Selection Criteria

We are looking for someone with:

• Qualifications in nursing (RN1) and eligibility to work in Australia. 
• Post graduate qualifications in palliative care or working towards same.
• Ability to work within an interdisciplinary team with minimal supervision.
• Highly developed palliative care assessment and care planning skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication/negotiation skills.
