The Palliative Care Clinical Educators work collaboratively, and are responsible for:
- The identification, development, facilitation, and evaluation of clinical education opportunities for the clinical team at MCMPC to support the delivery of evidence-based palliative care;
- Active promotion of ongoing professional development within a learning culture that is client focused, fosters reflective practice, and supports the competence and confidence of staff in service delivery; and
- Working closely with the MCMPC Leadership Team to support delivery of the organizational, strategic and benchmarking goals.
We are looking for someone who can:
- Utilise quality frameworks, industry standards, palliative care evidence and data in the development and evaluation of education programs.
- Ensure compliance with mandatory education and competencies for clinical staff.
- Collaborate with MCMPC Research Consultant to promote research and educational opportunities for the interdisciplinary team.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and mentoring opportunities to clinical staff to expand and embed their knowledge and skills.
- Facilitate education and promotion of palliative care as required, to external clinical staff and the broader community.

Selection Criteria
We are looking for someone who has:
- Registered Nurse Division 1 with current certification with AHPRA.
- Post registration qualification in cancer nursing/palliative care.
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience working in specialist palliative care.
- Demonstrated ability to think and act strategically to lead innovation and practice framework development.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated high level of interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated skills in education and applying adult learning principles in the development and delivery/facilitation of multi-modal training and education opportunities.
- Demonstrated knowledge of legislation and policy requirements with knowledge of Australian Nursing and Midwifery Council, and Palliative Care Nurses Australia competencies.
