Summary

Monash Health is recruiting Palliative Care nurses, for part-time or full-time work for a total of 102 hours a fortnight, working rotating shifts across a 24/7 roster.

McCulloch House is a 16-bed Inpatient unit based at Clayton, where we collaborate closely with all facets of Monash Health services. From inpatient wards to our Specialist Palliative Care Nurse Consultant Service, Hospital in the Home, and Community Palliative Care, our innovative Palliative Care team strives to offer a variety of care options suitable to our patients' needs. 

About the role

Embark on a fulfilling career where no two days are the same. As a part of our established team at the forefront of change within Palliative Care, you will have access to significant research through our affiliation with Monash University. Our practice is open to using evidence-based techniques, and you'll work closely with patients and their families to deliver excellent patient-centred care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team. Your role involves comprehensive patient assessment, symptom management, and preservation of dignity in end-of-life care, patient advocacy, and complex discharge planning.

As a Registered Nurse with a comprehensive understanding of Palliative Care, you bring genuine passion and interest to this unique area of nursing. Your commitment to excellence, strong communication and negotiation skills, and resilience make you a valuable addition to our devoted team. You are:

Selection Criteria
  • Current AHPRA registration 
  • Recent RN experience 
  • Exposure to Palliative Care (experience in a dedicated Palliative Care unit is not mandatory) 
  • Post Graduate studies in Palliative Care (highly regarded)
