Summary

About the role
An exciting opportunity for a skilled Spiritual Care Practitioner to join Western Health's Spiritual Care Department's casual pool, predominantly working at our Footscray or Sunshine sites.
The team focuses on providing high standard of care and expertise for hospital patients who require palliative care. The team has a strong focus on a multidisciplinary approach to patient care in order to support patients and their families during the transition to this phase of care. High standards of nursing care are achieved through staff striving for excellence in their practice therefore, professional development play an important role in maintaining these standards.
This role will be permanent part time on a Monday to Friday rotating roster across multiple Western Health sites.

Selection Criteria
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a tertiary qualification in Spiritual Care, Theology, Counselling, or other related discipline, from a recognised training authority.
- Have successfully completed at least one unit of Clinical Pastoral Education or equivalent.
- Demonstrate experience of providing high quality spiritual support in the healthcare environment.
- Display a commitment to offering secular, non-sectarian, faith-based care as required.
- Display an appropriate level of capability, as outlined in Level 2 of Spiritual Health Association's Capabilities Framework for Spiritual Care Practitioners in Healthcare 2020.
