Caring at the Intersections: Enhancing Palliative Care Practices

The objective of this workshop is to equip participants with practical tools and strategies to implement an intersectional lens so they can further enhance their person-centric care. Using case studies and examples, participants will be guided in reflexive practice, explore the meaning of intersectionality and intersectional framework, and brainstorm ideas to turn knowledge into practice.

Intersectionality is defined as: the interconnected nature of social categorizations such as race, class, and gender as they apply to a given individual or group, regarded as creating overlapping and interdependent systems of discrimination or disadvantage: "through awareness of intersectionality we can better acknowledge and ground the differences among us".

Facilitator: Budi Sudarto (they/them) Ananda Training & Consultancy
