Summary
As part of a research study, the music therapist will be responsible for the delivery of a high quality music therapy program to patients with advanced, non-malignant lung diseases (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease or interstitial lung disease) and their caregivers who are taking part in the SINFONIA: Singing for breathing clinical trial over the next two years. This is a randomised, double arm, mixed methods study comparing an online group singing program over 12 weeks with standard care.
The music therapist will join a vibrant research team and contribute to the development of an exciting singing program for the trial and longer-term. Additionally, there are opportunities for the music therapist to develop and lead research within this area together with the research team.

Selection Criteria
- Current registration as a Music Therapist with Australian Music Therapy Association Inc
- Substantial post graduate experience in a hospital or health care setting
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Familiarity with computer applications
- Knowledge of music technology applicable to therapeutic practices
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a multi-disciplinary team
- Current National history check, or willing to obtain
